Summer fun!

Cascade's favorite swim area is the river on Grammie and Grandpa's property.... she definately has no fear of the water!

I'm alive!!! and look who's growing....

Haven is almost 3 now and Cascade almost 2 1/2! Rylan is 5 mths and wont be the youngest for long ... Cascade is expecting a baby BROTHER at the end of November '08.


Here's my little brother and his family ... in the office I have to call him "Dr Darren" .... but between Haven and I its "slave driver"! Ohh the young minds ... She's also been watching The Tour de France with Daddy ... such that now if she "toots" a little she says "its just liquigas"! :)






These would be the proud grandparents ... the girls still argue with me about them being my parents ... they correct me with " no grammie and grandpa"!


Really its me!! Life has been crazy... Just when I thought I was moving to small town Exeter and working as a dental hygienist for my brother's growing practice.... WHAM! I've been doing the front office responsibilities too... but only for 6 months.... We find and hire someone.... she works 2 weeks... gets a jury summons.... AND GETS SELECTED! For a minimum of 10 days ... taking her right up to vacation in August! What luck....

Quilting?? I think I remember how.... I am going to take a mini vacation to LONG BEACH for the quilt show. Then more packing.... maybe it will be easier to purge things if I havent seen them for months.... at least that's what I've been telling myself....

... and here's the family expecting my first nephew! My sister and brother n law ... Cascade's parents ... Cascade has been learning important things w/ auntie ... swimming across Grammie's pool with her floaties on ... and my favorite ... to sound like she's coughing up a hairball! :) Ohhhh what fun!

Easter ... Clothing Optional!?

Ok... some how Easter turned into a nudie patootie party ... for the cousin's that is.... sooo this is all that can be on display! If only I could show the photos of the peeing on the gopher dirt pile!!! TOOO funny .... Not sure who's idea it was ... all responsible adults were in the house cleaning up from brunch... and the cousin's had stripped down to get into their kiddie pool... Ok .. they could be seen from the kitchen window.... One turn AND WHAT! Ohhhh my .... soo to see those photos you'll have to attend their weddings in about 40 yrs ( I think that's when their parents said they could get married).... yes those pictures have been placed into a vault for safe keeping till then!

Sisters...

Haven does like being a big sister ... and they even have matching jammies .... Rylan's really not cross eyed! Just when she's getting squished!

Sweet Baby Girl...

Isnt she just a cutie... and such and angel when she's sleeping! If you ask big sister Haven if baby sister (Rylan) plays with her yet .. she's happy to tell you "no she just cries".

Make a Jelly Belly basket!!

Here's my friend Andrea making her basket! Her sister, Leticia and I also made them... and an extra one for Wendy at The Calico Horse to raffle sometime for her fundraiser w/ Avon Walk for Breast Cancer... We even managed to find the base for it with Wendy Longaberger's signature already and then got 2 more family members who were at the event! This was the 2nd time Longaberger had come to California's Jelly Belly Factory in Vacaville. I'll post a couple more pictures later of the finished product ... Thanks to Leticia who'd taken this pic on her iPhone .. I on the other hand ... havent had time to download off my camera yet! Besides making our baskets we also enjoyed shopping in The Factory Store that had come along ... each found a basket or items that had retired! So we knew it was meant to be that we'd found them there!

Biker Girl!

Haven is now officially a biker girl .. all on her own! She's had this bike from her "Uncle" Craig (owner of her favorite bike shop and daddy's other office) since she was 18 mths ... and even with the seat adjusted to its closest .. not until now could she reach the pedals! So watch for "H. Bean", her nick name from birth, competing in upcoming races!

Cute Cousins...

It's a known family fact .... that when I get tired of mom taking photos .... I start sticking my toungue out for photos .... something that started I think on a family road trip to Colorado when I was in high school .....

My little angels have also caught on to the trick ... teach them?? Noooo I wouldnt have! :)

Big Sister meets Little Sister

Haven loved to hold her .. she laughed when she "squeaked" ..

but when she cried! She pushed her back at Mommy!!!

This is not quite 4 hrs old... she's such a sweety... Haven wanted to take her home to "Haven's house"... she also lifted her own shirt and wanted sister to get lunch from HER boobies! :) That was fun to explain! When we heard another baby crying in the next room Haven wanted to go get that baby to get some lunch from Mommy too!!

Haven and I went to Build a Bear and made sister her first bear! Haven got a pink leopard... we went to see sister..... and then home for a nap... to which she promptly asked to go back to hospital and see baby sister.... when we got there Cousin (Cascade) was there w/ Auntie "Lauren" (Laurienne) and IMMEDIATELY Cousin screamed when Haven arrived... MINE!! Apparently there will be a fight over this new arrival!!

This reminds me of my favorite "I don't do mornings" mug!

To all my friends that sent me best wishes for 2007, it DIDN'T WORK ! So for 2008, could you please send either money, food or gas vouchers. Thank You......

Christmas is coming.....

Look I've unpack my kitchen items for holiday baking! I've spent much of the weekend making little hooks for my holiday finds.... I found these cute little baking ornaments in Hallmark mini collection this year.... along with the gardening ones... which I hope to be doing some of in the Spring with the flower beds and pots around the yard....

I'm hoping to have my tree in all its mini glory on my new quilt rack/shelf by week's end... our dental office Christmas party is at my parents this coming weekend... and I know some of the girls are going to want to peek in my "yiddle" house as Haven calls it.

Giving thanks for ... CHOCOLATE Swap!!

Thank to Sharon for having this little swap! MMMMMMMMM yummy! My treats from Donna lucky for me didn't melt on my cute bag... yes it a little colder here than it was in Redlands.... besides I needed something to display in my Christmas sleigh! Of course the edible part of the display didnt last long.....

Halloween Girls... a little belated!

I know.... many of you thought I'd dropped off the planet ... somedays .. I think I did too! I was going to try and track down better photos of the girls at Halloween... but "oh well" ....

I was baby sitting Haven that day too so we spent time before nap baking ... and after nap decorating and best of all EATING cookies!!

Just as we finished decorating my sister n law got home from work so it was time to get dressed for the Halloween Party .... Haven was Monkey Girl and happy to demonstrate how to eat the banana they'd fixed in the pocket! Cascade was Lil' Stinker! She had been a Lioness at an earlier party .... Grandma went over board buying the costumes this year .... they were made by a daughter of a teacher friend ... her daughter is a designer for Old Navy!

Yes she loves her Auntie! Apparently also taking careful notes about how her parents brush her teeth! Well maybe its just her version of it!

Week TWO.... Racing & Turkeys??

The week started out early..... Sunday morning my nieces, their mothers and myself all headed out to watch my brother in a bike race up in Springville, CA. There also was an Apple Festival going on.... Auntie got burned..... the girls played in the back of the truck bed.... and Darren (my brother & now boss .... did I say that??) took FIRST PLACE... in this mountain bike race... well he took it with a friend.... crazy boys .. made sure they rode to the finish line together..... Soon these girls will be riding the circuit too!!

Monday morning I heard stirrings somewhere outside the house... above me... wondering what it was, but not enough to jump out of bed.... I shrugged it off.... got out of bed a little later... coffee... tv time.... shower... getting ready for my afternoon of working on teeth..... and I caught movement out the corner of my eye .... corner of the house roof line... OH MY! Where's my camera! WILD TURKEYS!!! About 20 of them! By the time I got the camera from the other corner of the house they'd jumped off the roof and were wandering along the ditch bank towards poolside then off the property. They must know our family is vegetarian!! Its pretty brave of them to be out in broad daylight this close to Thanksgiving!
